Sakina S. Dossaji was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya, and is currently residing in Tanga, Tanzania with her husband and 3 children. A teacher by profession, Deputy Head of a preschool, and a poetess by passion, she loves to write and organize literary, science and craft activities for kids. Sakina is a member of World Nations Writers' Union Kazakhstan, and member of the alumni of North American Montessori Centre. She acquired her literature skills at Agakhan High School, Mombasa, and inherited most skills from her father whose passion lies in writing English song lyrics, poems, and creating crossword puzzles. Her favourite pastime includes reading, writing poetry, creating motivational videos, photography, cooking. She is a recipient of the ‘Temirqazyq’ award selecting the best poet/writer of the world in 2018. Sakina was also a recipient of awards for India's 74th Independence Day, and Trinidad and Tobago's Independence Day. The awards hold much respect and honour. She was appointed as President of 'the Tanzania office for Union Hispanomundial De Escritores (UHE), Peru. She is the author of 'The Ebb and Flow of Relationships' published in Amazon Kindle and co-author of anthologies Spark of Hope volume 1 and 2, Break the Silence, Saving Lives, Anthology against Domestic Violence volume 1 and 2, Peace Begins with us, Crossroads, and many International anthologies, magazines and newspapers.
